Ministry of Sound 'Mash Up' Treatment
This is the treatment I made for the Ministry of Sound 'Mash Up' album.
I wanted it to be bright and eye catching whilst mashing up elements of retro and modern music.

'Mash Up'
Treatment
- Working from the pack shot the brief was to build a treatment around the idea of a 'mash up'.
I originally used 80's/90's imagery (cassette tapes, old headphones, record decks, etc.) fused with sharp geometric shapes and sizzling electric wires.
This idea was diluted by various inputs and the end result was deemed too 'in your face' and 'modern'.
- Part of the brief was also to 'hero' the artists involved. I wanted to try out one artist dissolving into another to express the mash up element. This proved pretty tricky but I liked the ink splat disintegration effect.
